End-Use Policy
Version EUD-1.0 · effective 18 October 2026
KUGAKI (kugaki.com) supplies research and laboratory chemicals, biochemicals and bioprocess materials to institutions and businesses. This policy sets out who we sell to, what our products may be used for, and the checks we make on every order. By placing an order you accept it, together with our Terms of Sale.
1. Who we sell to
We sell only to organisations: universities and colleges, research institutes, hospitals and clinical laboratories, government and public laboratories, contract research and testing laboratories, and registered companies (including pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, food and industrial companies, and distributors). We do not sell to private individuals or to people buying for personal use.
2. Buyer verification (KYC)
Before checkout, every buyer gives:
- the organisation's name, type, country and business registration or tax ID (for example VAT, GST, EIN, ABN, UEN or CIN);
- the buyer's name, job title, work email and phone number; and
- the intended end use of the products, a short description of that use, and whether any product will be resold or exported.
These details are saved with the order. We may check them against public registers, ask for supporting documents (such as a registration certificate, an institutional purchase order or a letter on letterhead), and hold, refuse or cancel an order until we are satisfied.
3. Permitted use
Our products are sold for research, laboratory, analytical, teaching and further-manufacturing use only. Unless a product page states otherwise, products are not:
- medicines or drugs, or for human or veterinary use;
- for diagnostic or clinical use;
- food, food additives, cosmetics, or household or personal-care products.
4. Prohibited use
Products must not be used for, or supplied to anyone for:
- chemical, biological or nuclear weapons, or missiles and other systems for delivering them;
- explosives or other weapons;
- the manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or other controlled substances;
- any purpose that breaks the law of the country of supply, of the destination country, or any applicable export-control or sanctions law.
5. End-use declaration
For every order, the buyer confirms that:
- they are buying on behalf of the organisation named, are authorised to do so, and the information given is true and complete;
- the products are for research, laboratory, analytical or further-manufacturing use only, as set out in section 3;
- the products will not be used for any prohibited use in section 4;
- the products will be handled only by trained people following the Safety Data Sheet, and the buyer's organisation is responsible for import permits, licences, duties and compliance with export-control and sanctions laws, and will not resell or re-export products to sanctioned countries, parties or uses; and
- they accept the Terms of Sale and this End-Use Policy.
The declaration, its version and the time it was accepted are recorded on the order.
6. Export control and sanctions
Products ship from India. Orders must comply with Indian export law (including the SCOMET list), the import rules of the destination country, and any other export-control and sanctions laws that apply to the buyer. We do not ship to countries, organisations or people subject to sanctions that apply to us, and we may need an end-user certificate or licence before shipping some products.
7. Our rights
We may, at any time and without giving a reason: ask for more information or documents; refuse, hold or cancel any order and refund any payment taken; stop supplying a customer; and report orders we believe are suspicious to the relevant authorities. We keep verification and declaration records for at least five years.
8. Buyer responsibilities
The buyer is responsible for safe storage, handling, use and disposal of products in line with the Safety Data Sheet and local law, and for ensuring that everyone who uses the products is trained and supervised. The buyer will tell us straight away if the declared end use changes or if they become aware of any misuse.
